Ideology-The ideology of NME is to promote new and upcoming music. NME also promotes indie music. As seen in the contents page the magazine concentrates on concerts of indie bands and upcoming artists, this is seen by the use of the main image being a picture from a live concert of the indie band 'Arctic Monkeys'.
Representation- NME is represented as being a male dominated magazine as seen by the colour scheme used (red,black and white). It is also represented as being a different music magazine as its main focus is on live bands and new upcoming music.
